This policy sets out the basis on which we provide services that are not simple sale of a product in the post — for example repairs, restorations of tools and equipment, and training courses, as well as after-sales and technical help for items you have bought from us. Buying goods from the shop is mainly governed by our Terms and Conditions, Returns, and Shipping pages.
We need a clear description, photos, or the item in our workshop to quote. We will tell you: whether we can do the work, a written estimate or fixed price, the expected time, and any parts, carriage, and VAT extra. The job only starts in line with the confirmation you give us (in writing, email, or a signed/accepted order). Work that is beyond the agreed scope, or that uncovers additional faults, will be re-quoted where possible before we go ahead.
We will state what is covered and for how long on the invoice or despatch note for a repair. That warranty is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK, where you have them, and is limited to defects in the work we have carried out, using fair wear and the environment you told us you would use the item in. Misuse, third-party repairs after ours, or damage in transport back to you may be excluded, where the law allows.
Schedules, fees, cancellation rules, and what is included (materials, food, certificate) are those set out in the training section and in the booking or joining instructions we send you. If a course is cancelled or rescheduled by us, we will try to offer an alternative or a refund, as the law and our booking terms require. If you cancel, the rules in your booking form apply.
We will help in good faith with specification, use, and fault-finding for products we have supplied, where we are able. This does not replace vehicle manufacturer or manufacturer workshop manuals, or safety-critical work that must be done to professional standards. For urgent safety issues, stop using the product and get independent advice. Contact us best via the contact form with your order or invoice number.
