Returns Policy

Last updated: 24 April 2026 · Motor Trade Tools Ltd

1. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy takes away the rights you have under UK consumer law (for example, the Consumer Rights Act 2015) when you are a consumer buying online or from our UK business, including the right in many cases to reject faulty goods or to return goods in a cooling-off period (where that applies). If the law says something stricter for you than this page, the law applies.

2. Start every return with us in writing

Before you send anything back, contact us on info@motortradetools.com or use the contact form with: your order or invoice number, a short description of the product, the reason (change of mind, wrong item, faulty, etc.), and, if the item is used or opened, a fair description of the condition. We will reply with: whether a return is accepted, any return authorisation reference, the address to use, and whether a restocking or handling charge may apply. This avoids lost parcels and makes refunds traceable.

3. Condition and packaging

Return goods in a condition that is fair for the reason you are returning. Unless we have agreed in writing, we may refuse a refund (or may apply a restocking charge) for goods that are damaged through misuse, missing major parts, or without reasonable packaging for the return where the goods were not supplied faulty.

4. Carriage, large items, and made-to-order goods

Who pays return postage depends on the law that applies, what we have agreed, and the reason for the return. Heavy, hazardous, or specially ordered items (including lifts, fixed workshop equipment) may be non-returnable once ordered, or return may be subject to our supplier’s restocking terms; we will tell you before you place the order where that is the case.

5. When we refund you

Once we have received the goods and checked them, we will deal with a refund, repair, or replacement in line with your legal rights and any agreement we have confirmed. Refund times follow our Payment Policy and the methods used to pay. If you are entitled to a refund of delivery charges, we will do that in line with the law and what we have charged on your order.
